I love organising things and to be honest I get twitchy feet if there isn't some kind of event on the horizon to get ready for.  I'm so pleased to be back working with creative people after a break in work to look after my two tiddlers.  Let's just say the kids parties were given a bit too much thought! 

Being creative is so important to everyone - it's joyful, opens our minds to be better problem solvers and happier people.  Watching the Late Creators chat and laugh around a table while making its easy to see why we all need to make time to unleash this side of our brain and give ourselves time to make. Creativity, according to Maya Angelou, is a bottomless pit: "The more you use it, the more you have," said the novelist. "Creativity is intelligence having fun," is a phrase often attributed to Einstein and I know my business / organising mind would stagnate if I didn't take time to also create.

I've worked in so many different jobs over the years but the name 'Art Hopper' has been with me for over 17 years now.  I first started using it in 2008 when I tried out running bus tours around artists studios in North Devon.  It's since been used for my children's arty holiday clubs for Devon Learning Communities and St Anne's Arts Centre, preschool art group at Taunton Brewhouse, and now again when I returned to freelancing last year after a break from working.  

​I like making things and doing craft workshops myself so it's a joy to seek out fantastic makers and artists with the special skills to be able to teach as well.  Please treat yourself to some creative playtime either with your little ones at Art Hoppers preschool art club or book yourself an evening out at Late Create.  Have a look at my Instagram to see previous events and read reviews from happy crafters, mini artists and makers.
